WordPress
Connect WordPress with one click and no plugin, or with an application password. Featured images, Yoast and Rank Math fields, and categories.
RankHabit publishes to WordPress through its own REST API with an application password. There is no plugin to install.
Connect
- Article settings → Publishing → Connect → WordPress.
- Type your WordPress address and press Connect WordPress. We check your site first.
- WordPress opens its own Authorize Application screen. Click Approve and you come straight back.
- We pick up your site name, default category and author, and whether Yoast or Rank Math is installed.
- Press Send a test draft. We make a draft nobody sees and delete it a minute later.
If WordPress sends you to its dashboard instead of the Approve screen (some login pages drop where you were going), use “Open the Approve page” in the sheet.
Connect manually
Can't use the Approve screen? Choose Connect manually. In WordPress, open Users → Profile → Application Passwords, make a new one, then paste your WordPress username and the password. We keep it encrypted and only ever show the last 4 characters.
What lands on your site
- The post with its title, content, excerpt and slug.
- The cover as the featured image, and the images in the text in your media library. A failed image never blocks the post.
- With Yoast or Rank Math, the SEO title and description. If WordPress refuses those fields, the post goes out without them and the article says so.
- Category, tags and author through Extra fields (Article settings → CMS fields).
Update on site changes the same post in place.
Fix the connection
If WordPress starts refusing us (for example a revoked password or a security plugin blocking /wp-json), the card says Needs attention. Fix connection swaps the key and keeps your settings. Then Retry.
