Getting started
Add your site, check what RankHabit found, pick a voice and competitors, approve your first plan and choose where articles go.
RankHabit reads your site, plans articles your buyers search for, writes them in your voice and publishes them where you choose. Setting up a site takes six short steps. Log in with a 6-digit email code or Google; there is no password.
1. Add your website
Type your site's address and press Continue. Reading is read-only: nothing on your site changes.
Our reader, RankHabitBot, reads up to 200 pages, follows your robots.txt and stays on your site. Read more about the crawler. Stay on the page while it reads: it moves on by itself when it's done.
If your site turns the reader away, you'll see “We couldn't read your site” with a link to let it in. You can always Try again, Use a different address, or Enter my details by hand.
2. Check what we found
You'll see what you sell, who it's for, and the language and country you write for. Change anything that's off and press Looks right. You can change these later in Settings → Site.
3. Pick a voice
Choose how your articles should sound: Warm, Expert, Straight-talking, Playful or Formal. We pre-pick the one that matches your site, and you can describe the voice in your own words. You can change it later in Article settings → Writing.
4. Confirm your competitors
We suggest competitors from your site. Remove any that don't fit and add the sites your buyers compare you with, up to 5. We plan comparison articles from this list. More on keywords and competitors.
5. Approve your first plan
We pick the searches your buyers make and lay them out as articles on a calendar. Remove any you don't want with ✕, then press Approve plan. The first article (marked “Written first”) is written right away and waits for your OK.
The free trial writes 1 article. How the plan works.
6. Choose where articles go
Connect WordPress, Framer (beta), Lovable or your own site through a signed webhook. Webflow is coming soon. One place per site; you can switch later in Article settings → Publishing. Nothing goes live until you approve it. See every connection.
You can skip this for now. You'll be asked again the first time you approve an article.
Adding another site
Open the site switcher at the top of the sidebar and choose Add a site. How many sites you can have depends on your plan: 1 on the free trial and Starter, 3 on Growth, 15 on Agency. Agency can add more for $19 a month each.
Each website gets one free trial. If a site has already had one, you'll see “This website has already had a free trial. Upgrade to add it.”
