RankHabit vs Outrank. Which one fits how you work?
Both plan, write and publish SEO articles for your site. They differ in who decides what goes live, how facts are checked, and which AI answers they watch.
Outrank is probably the best-known tool in this category, and it earned that. I'm Shaig, I build RankHabit on my own, and I've spent a lot of time on Outrank's site. Every Outrank fact here comes from Outrank's own pages.
Pick RankHabit if
- You want facts checked against real pages, on every plan.
- You want ongoing checks of whether ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews name you.
- You want to start smaller: $49 a month for 15 articles.
Pick Outrank if
- You want articles to go live as soon as they're written.
- You publish to Shopify, Wix, Notion or Ghost.
- You want update suggestions from Search Console data.
- You want one plan with everything, at $99 a month.
The short version
Outrank is one plan at $99 a month for 30 articles, with backlinks, AI images and a long list of publishing integrations. You can buy more on top: more articles, more backlinks, human editing, a free-tools builder.
RankHabit starts at $49 for 15 articles. It doesn't do backlinks. What it does do is hold each article for your OK, flag every sentence with a price, number or competitor claim so you can check it, and track whether ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews name you.
Side by side. Facts from each company's own site.
Outrank facts from outrank.so/pricing, outrank.so/integrations, outrank.so/docs/wordpress, outrank.so/docs/improvements and outrank.so/ai-visibility, checked Oct 27, 2026. Something changed? Tell us at contact@rankhabit.com and we'll fix it.
Where Outrank is better
I'll be straight about this:
- More platforms. Ghost, Shopify, Wix, Notion, Webflow and a Next.js blog are all supported. RankHabit covers WordPress, Framer (beta), Lovable and a webhook.
- No blog yet? Outrank will host one for you for free. I don't offer that.
- Backlinks. Outrank builds them as part of the plan. RankHabit doesn't touch backlinks at all.
- Article improvements. Outrank reads your Search Console data, picks articles that are slipping or sitting just off the top results, rewrites them and can republish them. You can review each change first. RankHabit shows you the clicks, but it doesn't rewrite live posts on a schedule like that.
- Scale. If you need 60 or 90 articles a month for one site, Outrank sells that. RankHabit tops out at 30.
- Languages. Outrank says 150+.
If those matter to you, Outrank is a solid choice.
Where RankHabit is better
- Price to start. $49 versus $99. If you only need an article every other day, that's half the bill.
- Checking facts without paying $1,399. On Outrank, human fact-checking is a separate add-on. On RankHabit, flagging prices, numbers and competitor claims is part of every plan. It's not a human editor, to be clear. It's a list of sentences to check, and a "Fix it" button that looks for the fact on the company's own page.
- Approval by default. Outrank's WordPress plugin publishes as soon as articles are written unless you choose draft mode. RankHabit waits for you unless you choose Auto-publish. Same switch, opposite default. I think the safer one should be the default.
- Lovable. If your site is a Lovable app, RankHabit gives you one prompt that builds the blog and the endpoint. Lovable isn't on Outrank's integration list.
- AI visibility as a running check. RankHabit asks ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews (and Perplexity on Growth and Agency) your buyers' questions and shows who gets named.
Verdict
Pick Outrank if you want one plan that also handles backlinks and refreshes old posts, or if you're on Ghost, Shopify, Wix or Notion. It's built for people who want the blog to run itself.
Pick RankHabit if you want to start cheaper, read each article before it goes out and get claims checked without buying an add-on. It's also the easier option on Lovable.
Questions, answered.
