FAQ and troubleshooting
Answers to common questions: why an article didn't go out, why buttons are grey, reading your site, Search Console data and how to reach us.
Can't find your answer? Use Support in the app's sidebar, or email contact@rankhabit.com. A person reads every message.
An article didn't go out
Overview shows it first with the reason. If its day passed, press Publish to send it now (a past day is never sent by itself). If sending failed, fix what the sentence says (often Fix connection), then Retry.
A button is grey
- Hover it: the reason is always shown.
- “Approve the plan first.”: the article belongs to a plan waiting for Approve plan.
- “Upgrade to write more.” or a PRO badge: it comes with a paid plan.
- “Publishing works on rankhabit.com.”: you're on a test copy of the app.
- “Daily limit reached. More articles tomorrow.”: each site has a daily spending cap, so a burst of clicks can't overspend.
RankHabit couldn't read my site
Your robots.txt or firewall may block RankHabitBot. Our crawler page explains how to let it in, and the AI crawler checker shows which lines block which crawlers. You can also enter your details by hand. Settings → Site → Read again reads your site again later.
Nothing is being written
- Check Article settings → Publishing → Write on a schedule. When it's off, articles wait for you to click.
- A plan waiting for approval isn't written. Press Approve plan.
- On the free trial, only the first article is written.
Search Console shows no numbers
Google's numbers run 2–3 days behind, and new articles take a few days to get clicks. If the card says Reconnect Google, connect it again from Settings → Search Console.
I lost my webhook secret
We only show it once. Use Rotate secret to make a new one; the old one keeps signing for 1 hour while you update RANKHABIT_SECRET.
