Reviewing and publishing articles

Review and edit articles, check facts, regenerate, approve and schedule, publish now, update a live post and turn on auto-publish.

Content → Articles lists every written article with tabs for All, In review, Scheduled and Published. Review next opens the article in review that's due first.

Article statuses

StatusWhat it means
PlannedOn the calendar, not written yet.
WritingBeing written now. It takes a few minutes.
In reviewWritten and waiting for you.
ScheduledApproved. It goes out on its day.
PublishedLive on your site.
FailedWriting or publishing didn't work. The article page says why and what to do.

Editing

Articles in review, scheduled and published open ready to edit. Nothing is saved until you press Save (there is no autosave). If you leave with unsaved changes, you're asked “Leave without saving?” first.

Fields (WordPress and Framer, when extra fields are set up) opens the CMS fields sent with this article, like its category or tags. Changes there apply to this article only.

Facts to check

The writer only uses facts from Google's top results and your site profile. Sentences with numbers, prices, plan features, dates or claims about competitors are listed as facts to check above the article.

  • Looks right marks a fact as checked.
  • Fix it looks for the fact on the company's own pages. If a page says it word for word, the sentence keeps it with a link to that page; otherwise you get the sentence without it. Accept or Reject the change. Each fact can be fixed 2 times.

Regenerate

Regenerate writes the article again from scratch. It's free (the article still counts once) and each article can be regenerated 2 times. An article in review goes back to be written; a scheduled article is rewritten and keeps its day. Undo is offered right after.

Approve, publish now, update

  • Approve & schedule (in review) schedules the article for its day, or tomorrow if its day has passed. It goes out at about 9 am in your site's time zone. Approving counts as your OK, even with auto-publish off.
  • Publish now (scheduled) sends it right away, whatever its day.
  • Update on site (published) sends your latest version to the same post. View live opens it.
  • Archive (in review) takes the article and its keyword off the plan. Undo brings them back.

A scheduled article whose day passed is never sent by itself. Overview shows it as “didn't go out” with a Publish button, or Retry if sending failed.

Auto-publish

Auto-publish is off by default. With it on, new articles are scheduled for their day without waiting for you. It comes with Starter, Growth, Agency; on the free trial every article waits for your OK.

Turn it on from the Articles page, the Plan page, Overview or Article settings → Publishing → Publish automatically. You're asked first, and articles already in review are scheduled. Turning it off sends scheduled articles you didn't approve back to review.

Even with auto-publish on, an article with facts to check waits on Overview → Needs you now. Checking or fixing the last one schedules it.
